Once when I was a BP in Scotland a brother voted "no" on a sustaining vote.
While the SM talks were being given, I interviewed the brother, who told me that he had seen the sister smoking just a few days earlier. I re-interviewed the sister, and she admitted that she had been smoking, but said that she had decided to stop when I called her as Primary Pres. (I wished that she had told me that at the time, but - whatever!)
I advised the brother that the issue was resolved, and re-presented the sister's name at the end of SM - no objections.
[by the way, though she was only 18 at the time, that sister was probably the best Primary Pres the branch ever had - nothing to do with me, she was just a great person. I just lucked out in calling her]
