So why isn't he a Catholic? Or a Baptist? Or a Methodist? They believe in Jesus Christ too. If that's all that's important, and everything "above the foundation" can be false, wrong, deceitful, fraudulent, etc., then why disqualify all the other Christian faiths?
This is a serious question. If everything "above the foundation" of Jesus Christ doesn't matter, then what can he still have against the Roman Catholic Church?
I agree...totally agree...and haven't been back for 'round 2' as yet.
Though, I'm certain the answer will be: The Spirit, spiritual witnesses, phood authority (Jesus went to John to be baptized cuz John had the authority)...authority...authority...authority...1st vision...the typical LDS basics which are all definitely above the foundation. 1+1=3.
It's so insane, and I'm feeling so 'blah' about all things LDS right now that I can't really even be bothered to argue or fight anymore...discussing LDS issues and problems with a TBM is like trying to teach algebra to a 4 year old - they just can't 'get it' (it's not that they won't, it's that they can't) -- and they frankly inversely believe that WE don't / can't get it: ie. the importance of the spirit and of our spiritual witnesses etc. in shoring up our testimonies in the face of so-called facts.
