There's a Journey of Faith part II (The New World) where the American setting is more of the focus. If I recall correctly, this is the one where Keith Crandall, a biology professor at BYU, claimed that DNA found in Central America supports the idea that the Book of Mormon happened in the lands of the Maya. Of course he's simply cherry picking some bits of DNA that are fully consistent with an ancient Asian migration, or a connection to just about anywhere in Eurasia.... It's the same quality flim-flam as you get from Meldrum, only from a BYU professor who should know better. Kinda sad.

BYU professors who don't follow instructions, even when they know better, find themselves unemployed. His performance may simply reflect his need to put food on his family's table.
