Will you be testing out your project which is meant to prove that Jesus was literally resurrected, and thus that belief therein is perfectly reasonable?

There's no need for that in a church full of believers.

What hymns do LDS sing on Easter Sunday?

In my ward, Opening Hymn is He Is Risen, sacrament hymn is Upon the Cross of Calvary, and Closing Hymn is Christ the Lord is Risen Today.

My ward is having F&T meeting.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Sorry. I missed this one.

We're most likely to choose our congregational hymns for Easter Sunday from among those listed alphabetically under "Easter," here:

http://www.LDS.org/cm/topicsearchalpha/ ... -1,00.html

Along with one to precede the sacrament (communion) chosen from among those listed alphabetically under "Sacrament," at the same link.

I'm extremely fond of many of the Easter hymns.

The choir director and music director are more free in what they choose for either choral numbers or special musical numbers.

I love the fact that you did it in Greek! It warms my classicist heart.

Mmmm... Easter. I could really go for some rabbit stew.

I think it is probably Fast Sunday in most wards, as is the common practice in months with a General Conference. As the ward organist, I choose the hymns each Sunday.

For tomorrow:
#199 He Is Risen
#174 While of These Emblems We Partake
#136 I Know That My Redeemer Lives

I also bake the Sacrament bread and bring it each Sunday. This week I've prepared a special recipe of half whole-wheat, half white (I'm going for the multi-cultural thing), milk, butter, molasses, a little sugar and salt, and my secret ingredient of 1 can of sweetened applesauce. Oh, and of course, the yeast. We don't do the unleavened thing around here.

Buona Pasqua a tutti.

Don't hold back the tears while you play/sing those hymns, and also listen to humble Mormons bearing testimony. Bawl your eyes out with emotion, Will. It might possibly be the only time you experience some humanity.

by the way, I find your sig. line noteworthy, and I also casually note that when "Wheat" posted here he had exactly the same colouring as you do. Curiously, his expressions are exactly like yours, too.

But maybe I'll leave that, and more on Elders Ballard/Ashton for another thread (here). I have a new theory about Internet/Chapel Mormons, which I think will may be even more succinct than Dr. Shades', though from a different angle. I think this one has a far more solid footing.

I'm also very keen to know what Elder Ballard thinks of some Mormon commentary on the Internet. I guess one way to find out is to get straight from the horse's mouth.

For now, the road calls.
