How can I possibly resist such a sincere and kindly request?

I lost my old images and don't feel like looking them up. Here's a list:

First, I had an actual picture of me, if you want to find it, it's still my avatar on MA&D.

Second, I used the KFC picture that I used just recently.

No, The Nehor. You're leaving out "actual picture" number two. It was your embarrassment over the image (shame at getting picked on, etc.) that led you to switch your av. Don't you remember? Maybe this thread will refresh your memory:

Was it Silentkid's comment that finally did you in?

You're quite correct, I'd forgotten about that one. I put in a more up to date photo of me but everyone hated it (including me). It looks like I'm about to kill someone.

I changed it because it looked dumb, not because I was smarting. To show you how seriously I was taking this after being accused that I was one of the Hitler youth I said,

"What can I say? Blond hair, blue eyes, German look. I AM THE MASTER RACE!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHHA.

I've given up anti-Semiticism though. Instead I'm moving to get Lebensraum by sending Furries and Reptilians to the gas chambers. I am still for the annexation of Poland though."

I changed it because it was a bad photo. I agree with you on this. That somehow I was ashamed and changed it due to immense feelings of shame and embarrassment is a figment of your active imagination and sick determination to see defeat, weakness, incompetence, malice, and conspiracy in everything your enemies say.

You are what C.S. Lewis described when he told people how to become devils. First you want gray to get darker. When a story about apologetics comes up that you think is bad you report it. Then, when evidence comes up that weakens your claim someone who wants to see the good in others would say something like, "Oh good. I hoped they weren't that bad." Instead, you choose to cling to your belief and try to make the counterclaim into evil. Eventually you see gray as darker, then all grey fades as black, and then white as black.

At that point, there will be no virtue left in you. You will go to hell cursing God because you can't see anything as good, even Him. We're not friends but I encourage you to stop. You're killing yourself. I'm guessing you'll ignore this. I pity you.

That doesn't make any sense. Why would you put up a photo in which you yourself felt that you looked that way? It seems more that you decided to "hate" it after the fact---i.e., after people noted how it looked.

I changed it because it looked dumb, not because I was smarting.

A distinction without a difference. You showed zero indication of thinking or feeling that "it looked dumb" prior to the criticism. Your assertions are thus extremely shaky.

"What can I say? Blond hair, blue eyes, German look. I AM THE MASTER RACE!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHHA.

No one accused you of being "one of the Hitler youth."

I changed it because it was a bad photo. I agree with you on this.

What a bizarre remark. For my part, I said that it looked like an August Sander portrait. Do you know who August Sander is? Is August Sander known for taking "bad" photos? The evidence shows that you changed it only after you were picked on. Face it: you were humiliated and embarrassed. If it really was a matter of you disliking that one image, then you could have used a different self-portrait that you actually liked. Instead, you opted for the corpulent X-wing fighter pilot. It's as if, in your desperation, you were trying to say, "Hey, look, everyone! I'm actually funny and likable! See---I can laugh at myself! Ha ha! See? I'm not embarrassed!"

We know the truth, though.

If you must know the history my sister-in-law sent me the photo she'd taken while my family was on vacation. I thought it was bad but also had planned to change out my old photo because it was old. I put it up on a lark thinking the dark, thuggish look might be kinda funny. I was wrong and after a few days of looking at it grew to hate it and didn't think it was funny at all. So I changed it.

I wasn't under the impression that I was supposed to post all my feelings about my avatar image for you to peruse. To be blunt, that kind of thing belongs on a boring LiveJournal.

If this kind of thing is expected, would you be willing to explain why you chose your avatar and update us on how you feel about it daily.

No one accused you of being "one of the Hitler youth."

No, they said it looked like a Hitler youth photo. It kinda does.

You saying that it looked like an August Sander portrait had nothing to do with my taking it down. I hated it. That you thought it was good was irrelevant to me. Your theory is that you liked it and because of that I took it down? Bizarre.

The evidence shows this only if you ignore the primary source who actually knows (me). Feel free to read between the likes and concoct your fantasies though.

I actually didn't have any other digital self-portraits. I'm not a big photographer. I have some now but I haven't bothered to put them up.

We know the truth, though.

I find it incredibly sad that you've put this much thought into my decisions as to what image I put up next to my name on an internet board. You must have a thoroughly pathetic life.

Again, I pity you.

Don't have them. As Scratch has taken such an interest in my avatar choices, perhaps he has an archive.

Correction: it was funny, but not in the way you wanted it to be. After silentkid and others yukked it up at your expense, you took it down.

No....my theory is that you felt picked on over the new avatar, and thus you took it down. Why try to deny this? You have a history of this sort of behavior, The Nehor. After I dubbed you "nebbish," you were so perturbed over the label that you fired up an entire thread to discuss the word's definition (and you seemed to resent it when other posters agreed that you looked "nebbish"). You have also backtracked in embarrassment over your admission that you heard Jesus in a dream and/or that you saw "god(s)". There is really no denying that you have a history of backpedaling furiously anytime you think---even remotely---that a laugh has been had at your expense.

You would know. No, actually you wouldn't

Your theory....based on virtually no evidence....that I am the only person would actually know.

Why, that constitutes proof-positive in Scratchite land.

I spoke about nebbish because I don't think it fits. Hardly evidence that I cry when people make fun of my personal appearance.

I haven't backed down on my assertion that I heard Jesus in a dream. I did. In fact, I spoke about it again not long ago. I also insist that I saw a God and have never recanted.

So...your theory is that I do this kind of thing because you made up instances of me doing it that exist only in your head with with no basis in reality? I stand by my assessment:

I pity you.
