Although Elohim disapproves of multiple piercings, it turns out he's a huge fan of Hot Topic.

If you view God through the lens of Mormonism; as an interventionist and perfected man-being, then building, creating and improving is part of doing God's work, which in the case of Mormonism is "building the kingdom of God on earth". It is an act of doing and creating.
The COJCOLDS view on God contradicts itself.
1. GOD IS PERFECT.
2. Celestial Kingdom = Eternal Progression.
COJCOLDS's God isn't perfect.
So unless God see's his mistake, he will continue construction and forgo the demo team.

So maybe JSJr at least had the focus right when he said during the King Follett sermon that the first principle of the gospel is to know the true nature of god, and that knowing god is eternal life. Seems COJCOLDS has strayed from that considerably. See here for thread discussion illustrating how COJCOLDS has lost that focus.[/quote]
Good points SP. Joseph Smith's initial teachings were that EVERY person would be their own prophet and seer and that EVERY person would have the equal right to that mystical communication with diety to know God for themself and for the nascent church (according to Micheal Quinn's "The Mormon Hierarchy: Origins of Power")
It was only later when Oliver Cowdery and others started to allegedly receive inspiration, revelation, or whatever, that then conflicted with inspiration, revelation or whatever that Joseph Smith had received, that a hierarchy, fixed doctrines and teachings had to be better established.

Why is COJCOLDS trifling with billions of dollars of the lord's money on a mall?
I guess it depends what they do with the profit they make from the mall. As one who actually thinks capitalism is a good thing, I would have to say that providing decent jobs for people and cleaning up a deteriorating neighborhood are things that very well could be God's work. Hopefully, they are going to succeed and make people's lives better.
As long as they pay taxes on their business investment I don't have any problem with them making Salt Lake City nicer.

Jesus is actually a metrosexual and (*lisp on*) LooovvvTThhhs ta shawppp!

The new slogan for the Mo'mall will be
Jesus Saves
by shopping
at His Mall®
..so can you!
Upon his second coming, he has the entire day planned out and it begins at His Mall®.
The anchor stores will have "second coming" sales and the rest will having "end of the world" sales.

I wish Sock Puppet could report back to us as to whether the genetically engineered fish feel free and happy or if they have developed an appetite for missionary fingers.

I think there's a difference between the City Creek Mall having beneficial effects on SLC and, the City Creek Mall is the best thing for God's one true Church to spend the proceeds of tithing on.
I think there has yet to be a case put forward that would suggest it's the latter...
