No, it means I am willing to take everything into account. In this case, I've already proven this possibility exists scientifically.

bcspace,

Modern Egyptology has clearly shown the purpose and means of Facsimile No. 3. Science has made its case. Joseph Smith's ideas are in total conflict with science.

Are you willing to concede that there is a possibility that Jospeh Smith lied about the whole thing and put on quite a show? Is that a possibility?

Maybe you could actually provide specifics on how your theory is suppose to work. I don't think we have seen how it is suppose to be plausible.

bcspace's position would be more tenable had Joseph Smith stated that it was 'the words of Abraham, written by his own hand but rewritten into secret code by someone else generations later on the papyrus'.

I have, multiple times. Abraham escapes the clutches of the Egyptian religion proving his God is more powerful than theirs. The facsimilie representing such are changed in meaning to hide this fact. The meaning simply being lost over time is also plausible.

Merely a question of assumptions. For example, among the several possibilities available, I don't take a "fundamentalist" view of prophets and prophecy.

And hello to you, cinepro. Is there anything we should know about that MDDB thread?

The facsimiles are from papyri that is dated well after Abraham, and they are buried with those whom the papyri tells us. I am not seeing how or why the facsimiles which I do believe some of their meanings even predate Abraham are supposed to be changed in meaning. Could you make it more clear? If Abraham escaped why would they even create facsimiles which are rituals involving deceased individuals and changing their meaning. I believe most of these rituals predate Abraham.

Not only did Joseph totally flub the Egyptian from start to finish, he couldn't even get the gender of the characters right. Women are identified as men. And Min, the god of fertility with the massive erection, is identified as Elohim. I guess that says a lot about Joseph.

You proved what? Woe man. Abraham in the Bible can only be presented as a faith based myth at most. There is no real evidence of Abraham as there is for the great kings of Egypt which left not only records but tangible artifacts. You cannot say that the stories about Abraham in the Bible prove that Jehovah outperformed the gods of the Egyptians. Likewise, the same can said for Moses. There is no proof that Moses was even in Egypt doing the things your biblical record says he did. Hence, the Bible is not proof. It's faith based stories without tangible evidence. So don't throw out the "proof" word so fast.

Science has proven that Joseph Smith was a fraud because science has proven the truth about Egyptology. I guess you don't care for science very much, bcspace.

The idea of Anubis being called a slave by priests & scribes of the Egyptian state is utter blasphemy and is 100% NOT plausible. Case closed, the Mormons lose.

Then why is his right arm to the square? I think what you're seeing at his waist is just the fingers of his left hand. Very long fingers.
-"I was gonna say something but I forgot what it was."
-"Well, it must not have been very important or you wouldn't've forgotten it!"
-"Oh, I remember. I'm radioactive."

As much as you have. All I did here was provide specifics as requested. by the way, have you addressed Will Schryver's claim here:
