That looks more eastern Mediterranean, architecturally speaking, than French. But, oh well, I don't think it will be on any non-Mormon sight seeing tours of Paris.

I just can't imagine Parisian Mormons.... Europe is so not uptight.
This really burns me - first, BCSpace, the Louvre is not like 6 Flags, it is more than just a tourist attraction. Second, temples are like McDonalds - the same everywhere. Well, not true, McDonald's has regional variation. So going to the temple in Paris and saying that was better the Louvre is like saying McDonalds in Paris was better than Maison Blanche.

Zee,your suggestion of selecting a limited area to see for a large musuem is excellent. In fact I think attempting to see all the rooms is a waste of time unless you have weeks. Rush through and then you have a miserable tourist destination experience.

Huckleberry,
I have a colleague who is from that area and his uncle was the historical monument architect. This guy gave me the tip on how to visit the Louvre. He also told me "I should visit champs elysees, arch de triomphe, the gardens, the fountains, etc. It is also close to the Palais Royal, to the statue of Joan of Arc, and the river Seine."

Paris temple? At 46, Boulevard Saint-Antoine, 78150 Le Chesnay, France? (Google map it)
Not to Parisians it ain't.
Paris is the area inside the boulevard périphérique, the circular freeway that runs round the city along the line where Paris's outermost fortification wall stood until the 1920s. Inside that are the twenty arrondissements into which the city is divided, some classy, some not so. Beyond the boulevard are the suburbs, that don't have Paris postal codes and are not administered by the mayor of Paris. People who live there typically say they live in Montreuil, Vincennes, and so on, not Paris.
If you want to be nice to the house of handshakes in the region of the French capital, you could say it is the Versailles temple, but even that would be an exaggeration. Le Chesnay is next to Versailles, though.
To make the situation clearer: suppose Americans heard that the CoJCoLDS had erected a building in New Jersey, and called it the 'New York temple'? Well, I suppose it's no worse than Disney's decision to call their business 'Disneyland Paris', even if it is 20 miles away ...

According to Cumorah.com the LDS church has on the books 34638 of whom only 10391 are active. How could these member afford a Temple without significant support from the US?

If you were a GA, wouldn't you think it was worthwhile investing tithing money to give you a good reason to visit Paris?

Hey Chap, I read that LDS had to get permission from the Paris mayor for this temple. If it isn't in his jurisdiciton, why get his permission?

It is interesting that the Temple grounds will also host something called the Residents Hotel. This will probably make it popular sacred retreat for General Authorities and their families.
