Oh I know, I’m totally with you, but it’s Shades. What’s to be done?

What's the difference?

You called it, Morely:
Negotiating language can be one of the real joys of life.
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."

That doesn't answer my question.
2nd try: What's the difference between "seriously" and "srsly?"

Shady-boy,
Consider the following examples and see if there is a slight difference in how you might perceive them:
1. I'm a member of the LDS church and am here to debate you critics.
2. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am here to debate you critics.
Which of the two might cause you to take a bit more notice and perhaps square your shoulders with vested interest?

Shady-boy,
Listen up and learn.
1. I srsly think you are a dirty faggot!
2. I SERIOUSLY think you are a dirty faggot!
Which one offends you more?

"srsly" indicates a lack of seriousness, or a sign that one is trying to ape popular culture for some conversational purpose.
