But that's the double bind. If you don't report you're a victim and the perp stays on the street, if you do report you're a victim.

As a young Mormon I was told, over and over again, that a Mormon women WOULD NEVER DATE a morally unworthy man.....so, this story about the closeted gay male BYU student with a fiancee', cannot be true. Because bishops told me that, and they cannot be wrong. They are common judges in Israel.

Per the article, he paid the extortionist to keep that information from his fiancee and BYU honor code office.
If he is no longer engaged, then your bishop was right.
by the way, do young Mormon men really take dating advise from their Bishop? I can't actually imagine in my college years looking to someone over 30 for advice about had to meet and score with young college women.
