Anyone can publish any title they want, but if they want such to be officially recognized by an organization, they will publish under it's auspices. BRM's "Mormon Doctrine" is not published by the Church, case closed.

Mormon Doctrine was published by the Church. It was published by Bookcraft which was acquired by the Church in 1999. Mormon Doctrine continued to be published until 2010.

You might be surprised to learn that I agree with you--Mormon Doctrine deserves to be denigrated. And I suspect you would agree with me when I say Mormon Doctrine is a bunch of made-up bunk.

Still, I find it odd that a Christian would criticize Mormon Doctrine when Christianity encompasses nearly as many absurdities as Mormonism.

There’s definitely a voyeuristic aspect to the way some of these Evangelicals come here to spy on Mormon-on-Mormon action. But like peeping toms who scatter when the exterior lights are turned on, they run away whenever someone calls BS on Evangelical Christianity.
