The photograph is a metaphor, too. BK Packer does not color outside of the lines. Or paint outside of the frame.
I completely agree with Brother Boyd in his contention that the entirety of nature testifies that it was all created for a divine purpose.
Some of the most obvious evidence of this design includes the wasps that disable their victims and plant their eggs inside, which hatch and slowly eat the victim alive (spider, beetle, for example) from the inside.
That is entirely compatible with the god of the Hebrew Bible, who helpfully extended daylight hours so his "chosen people" could see to slaughter more people whose crime was to be living in the land he wanted cleared. (Sort of like clearing brush, right?)

Love them metaphors! You are, of course, correct. A visually pure example of perfection. The man never drips or sploshes. Even the coat he is wearing is without a spot of paint. He's not even using a pallet. Mixes his colors on the canvas (just puts a dab straight from the tube on his brush and blends it in).
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Love it! I would totally steal that idea if I had and talent for painting. If you really do it post some pics in the Old Testament forum.
Oh, I do not have a talent for painting, but it seems like a fun thing to try. I'm totes gonna do it. I am thinking to do silver handprints, too. Just because that would be cool.

Perhaps...
Claude Monet, the non-religious artist and Father of French Impressionism.
This particular piece of art testifies of the Divine, in my opinion.
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)
Zeezrom, I agree, it testifies of the divine. That sentiment may not be popular in these parts. There is no proof of Gods existence in the painting.
But my, its a lovely painting. it is good just to see it. I was thinking, 1866 and still looking so much like Manet. But then that dress has a something completely outside Manet. That green flowing could be pregnant with a whole garden.
But if I was thinking of proofs I am reminded of the gambit that says whole classes of BYU students (or University of Kansas students for that matter) could never put a Book of Mormon fiction together. Thus,it is suggested, The Book of Mormon must be of divine origen and demonstates Gods existence. I feel confident similar classes of students could not make Mr Monets painting. That could argue that the painting fell from heaven? Perhaps Monet fell from heaven. or Perhaps it demonstrates that some people are more clever and visonary than whole schoolfuls of people.
I think there are visions worth seeking out. Some people can help us open our eyes. But it could be wondered if a vision which is unattainble or unseen by most people untill a visionary reveals it could properly be a concern for all us ordinaries.i think we share..
Don't need brother packer's painting to testify to anything but the fact he has been on tithe payers dime for his whole life including his painting lessons , his little factory speeches and his bullying of church leaders below himself in silly displays of personal power- like telling a stake president to spk next at a conference bkp was presiding at and tell him to spk exactly 8 minutes on the faith or some other BS topic.
bkp's life testifies of pettiness and bullying and know-it-all-ism and quite frankly all his paintings and life's work are not going to get him a free pass from God. bkp better pray for mercy before he breathes his last.
