Yes and yes.

Lately there have been so many such violations that merely keeping up with them all has depleted me of the energy and willpower to issue suspensions, especially since, of late, any given violate-ee has so often been a violator as well.

I don't envy your position Shades as any decision you make will likely result in anger and resentment.

But if I may be so bold I suggest that people will only become more aggressive about disclosing in real life information if they know they can do it with impunity. Making violations more frequent and making more work for you and the moderators in the future. At very least people who are suspended can't continue to break the rules.

I guess at this point there is nothing I can do but keep my in real life identity as secret as possible and hope that no one figures it out.

This is balderdash. Impunity has little to do with it. Maturity is the key concept. And many many of our posters here are locked in a middle-school maturity that quite frankly is disgusting to the few mature folk who still hang out here.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Fine. If they are not mature enough to keep in real life information to themselves they should be suspended and then banned. If this is not going to happen then the board rules should be changed to reflect that.

Heaven forbid we should expect adults to act like adults. Such expectations are doomed to failure.
