Please elaborate on the correct way to correct the Brethern

These things were held in confidence and he was in a position to state how and why he disagreed with them in confidence. I certainly don't think he needed to do what he did.

The general membership of the churh deserves to know that this secret oridiance of the second annointing is practiced. They have payed 10% tithing and donated years of time.

Apparently you have not heard the pod casts nor read his detailed story about these confidential interactions, which gave zero response to his concerns other than to make him the bad guy

Why? I'm betting most of them haven't been asked to do something like this and are just as ill-prepared as Tom Phillips clearly was. Funny how things work like that.

I really don't think so and you are overstating the case. This is someone that personally knew these men and his approach clearly was antagonistic and far from constructive (and they all knew it). I ignore people on this site for exactly the same reason. When they go from making interesting points to attacking or making fun of me, I feel no sympathy towards them at all and put them on ignore. And you do realize that I agree with him to an extent. I simply don't agree with the attitude nor the approach however.

How long have you been Mormon? Oops, I forgot I'm on your ignore list.

That is a badge of honor. Whats unfortunate is Tobin ignores everyone asking him not to again derail a thread with his magic is better then theirs.

I think they are hurting their brand. For years, MT has been the best place to see a balanced approach to LDS church history and doctrine. A lot of this was due to their keeping editors out of sight and letting the articles speak for themselves. Twede and now Philips are breaking with this and it will make it much easier for LDS readers to dismiss the site based on association with known apostates.

Yeah, it shouldn't be that way, but it is.

About Joseph Smith.. How do you think his persona was influenced by being the storyteller since childhood? Mastering the art of going pale, changing his voice, and mesmerizing his audience.. How do you think he was influenced by keeping secrets and lying for his wife and the church members for decades?

Are you that dull?

DUH?

The more you and LDS Inc whine about MormonThink, the more you all unwittingly spread it's influence.

Who needs any so called anti-mormons when the unwitting masses of the Mormon church do such a fine job of killing it?
