True, so what are the credentials for Snopes that has you giving that website credence ? (if you do consider Snopes a valid source of checked facts)
The ability to do simple research, ask the right questions, and then apply logic and reason are the only qualifications necessary to fact check rumors. It's not rocket science. In fact it's sad that sites like Snopes are necessary.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.
It's probably a good idea to be skeptical of anything you read on the internet, including Snopes and other "fact checking" websites. But as far as I can tell, they usually cite their sources and haven't had any major polemical missteps, so I'm still inclined to believe Snopes over an anonymously created meme or forwarded email.

Just to clarify...and yo may want to re-read the OP...nowhere did the OP question the veracity of Snopes. In fact, the only question was "Anyone care to Snopes this?".
So, once again it is amusing to see the Lib faithful clamour about with personal attacks and presuppositions about "truthfulness", when clearly the OP only presented "fact" and a premise about internet fact-checking.
