I note Midgeley's immediate and insidious attempted slow reveal of what he believes to be the surname of poster "David B" - "David Bo" then "David Bok".
Which is yet another break of the patheos terms of use...

That’s not David Bokovoy”s style at all. I’ve read him enough. But it does sound eerily similar to stem. I need to get myself back over there and catch myself up on these latest developments. I’d feel bad if midge is using me to go after bro Bokovoy.
Maybe if Midgley had read BoKovoys work he’d know he would not say what I did say in that comment section. I disagree with bro Bokovoy but I do believe he’d still speak of the values of the PoGP. I agreed with a thread here some time back that argued BoKovoys defense of the Book of Abraham was inconsistent. The point is he offered a defense in his authoring the Old Testament book.

Give 'em hell. And by the way, the PofGP isn't anything mind blowing like you say. Learning that there was a spiritual creation prior to the physical is akin to finding out that God loves bbq like the real David Bok. It's a nice tid bit and something frankly a con artist would "reveal" but not very helpful when raising children or doing anything in this life.

I want to get back to sic et non and explain this for onlookers. But I am away from my computer and am stuck in this event-filled day. Why does that matter, you might ask? Well I log into to discuss from my phone and I have a whole different handle. I guess I set up two different accounts and I realize I can’t remember the password for either. Hopefully as the events wind down I’ll find time to get back to it. In the mean time anyone here is welcome to go handle the midge sitch.
Mr. Midgley wrote:I am also not sure if David B is David Bokovoy, but it is possible. He could settle the issue easily, if he really cared to, could he not?
Absolutely, but suppose it isn't Bokovoy, and he or she doesn't care to, then what? There are many reasons somebody who isn't David wouldn't clarify the matter, especially if the individual is trolling. And can you really blame somebody for wanting to troll the easiest to troll crowd of goons on the planet?
Mr. Midgley intones that if this individual doesn't come forward to clarify the matter, and it appears he's willing to simply take the person's word for it, that he's free to bad-mouth David Bokovoy. The person posting is Bodovoy with absolute metaphysical certitude until proven otherwise.
I have to say that I don’t understand Dr. Midgley’s treatment of David Bokovoy here. Why drag Dr. Bokovoy into this at all?

Dr. Midgely is a team player above all else. Anyone against his view of what the team is should be attacked and attacked mercilessly, especially those who were once believers but have since fallen into what he believes is apostasy. Dr. Bokovoy has a rational view of scripture that is opposed to Dr. Midgley's adolescent or infantile views of scripture that the church leaders espouse. Dr. Midgely's response is always to attack.
It doesn't work Dr. Midgely but I guess you are loyal to attack Mormonism and will be until you pass on. Maybe read what the church has missionaries read about how to convert people? I don't think preach my gospel has anything remotely to do with attack style Mormonism. Is this how you treated your beloved New Zealanders, Maoris? Or were you nice to them until you believed that they should know better and then let loose the attacks on them, like you did with Ms. Colvin?

Because the poster in question posted as "David B." That's good enough, don't you think?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Man. The Midge was born in the wrong era. I have no doubt he would’ve made one helluva Grand Inquisitor.

And here you see what the Midge would do with in real life information: mount an unwarranted and dishonest attack. And he wonders why people are anonymous. He gets to post his petty vicious crap from deep inside Fort Mormon where he feels safe.

Anonymity bothers Midge because then he cannot launch personal attacks at the person. If Midge's ideas are defensible, why would he care from where or whom posts and comments are made? That Midge would start spelling out Bokovy one letter more each time in successive posts--whether from Bokovoy or not--gives big insight into the vituperatious thinking of Midge, the aged mopologist.
