I think it's going to require a show of faith, like tossing Trump in prison and throwing away the key (since we likely won't Ned Stark the bastard like he deserves).
I don't expect to see that reputation restored during what remains of my lifetime. It makes me want to cry.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

The US's reputation will not be restored. A not-Trump likely will be liked for not being Trump in the same way that Obama won a Nobel for the act of not being George W. Bush, but the underlying credibility of the US led coalition of liberal democracies is smashed.

The last line proves that this conversation is fake news, as the Trump White House has instructed all personnel to eschew ‘taco’ in favor of FreedomMeat Cradles.
Something that gets me is there is already ample evidence in public egregious misconduct. The Republican response is a mixture of brazen lies and "So what? What are ya gonna do about it?!" Given that this is working fine for them, fighting tooth and nail to prevent more information that will produce the exact same result is interesting if nothing else. While I'm sure even more information would continue to fill in the details of a damning picture, it's not like there isn't already plenty of evidence on the table. It's like their just bitterly fighting for the capacity to blanket stonewall Congress.
What is so frustrating to me is.... Well, paraphrasing Sethbag: "Mormonism isn't just wrong, it's obviously wrong." So, likewise, Trump isn't just a lying, narcissistic, bumbling idiot, he is obviously that. How is it possible that so many cannot see this?
I get the partisan politicians trying to safeguard their seats. I get the racist, xenophobes trying to safeguard their despicable-ness. I guess I get the religious right crew thinking Trump is actually on their team. But, what about the rest of his base? Is this attributable to Rush, Sean, Lars gas-lighting the un-der-educated, apathetic?

You can't forget that some people actually like that he's an asshole, too. It's a feature, not a bug. Some people like the fact that he annoys Democrats. They don't seem to get that he annoys Independents and some Republicans, too... basically, people who have thoughts.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
63 million Americans voted for Trump in 2016. I'd say the partisans, racists, xenophobes and SS's asshole group are an insignificant % of that. The group that is too hard to calculate is the religulous who think god appointed Trump. I opine that there is maybe 10 - 30 million Trump voters who don't belong to those sets.
My second of four sons, a perfectly normal human being, started working for an air-gas co. a few years ago. The radio is on in the warehouse all day everyday to the Rush limbaugh, Lars Larson network. The end.

That's an interesting view. I doubt many on this board would agree. According to Some Schmo anyone who voted for Trump is a racist just by that act alone. I'm pretty sure most on the left here would be on board with that. Even EAllusion attributes Trump's 2016 victory to support from White Supremacists. But EAllusion also called Trump's early success in the Republican primaries the Republican parties Herman Kaine moment and predicted Trump support would die off and Trump would not win the 2016 Republican nomination. Bias can blind even the keenest of minds.
Just out of curiosity Dantana, do you think people can believe in enforcing the southern border of the United States and not be racist?
Hillary called Trump voters a basket of deplorables. I don't think the Democrats have learned much from this since based on the field of far left challengers they've shown thus far. They'd do well to reach out to Trump supporters and try to win them back. But a lot of these voters want the border enforced. They want American citizens put first. They're very skeptical of socialism. To Democrats this is racism and I don't think they can or want to win back Democrats that crossed over and voted for Trump. The only way Democrats will win is through demographic changes. They're not going to get back the votes from rust belt union workers again.
I still hope Hispanic and African American minorities start to look at the economics of Trump's presidency and understand that his policies lift all people willing to work regardless of race or even ideology.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Hey ajax, thanks for the dialog. I guess my political worldview would be best/ easiest defined as a less outspoken version of Doc Cam.
