Anyone remember when the Stanford Indians roamed the gridiron? They've been the Cardinal since the '70's. Somehow both the University and athletic programs have survived.

I just think it is funny that the Cleveland Indians changed their name but Atlanta didn’t.
They will all be fine. Including the Seahawks.

Personally the thing that drives me up the wall are names like The Utah Jazz or Los Angeles Lakers. Team names should stay with their cities. Be happy we're not watching the Las Vegas Dolphins.

Heh... I never really thought about that. Pretty funny, sir.
I dislike team names that aren't plural. The lightning, Kraken, Wild, Jazz, Heat, and Thunder should all pick something better.
One more team name criticism: What is meant by the Buffalo Bills? Their logo is a buffalo, not a bill, whatever a bill is in this context. Are they a collection agency? Are they law makers? Do they print money? Or are they just the guys who have top billing in the current game?

Maybe when they started the team, they thought they would only draft guys named Bill. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 5:53 pmOne more team name criticism: What is meant by the Buffalo Bills? Scene from inside the locker room:
Hey Bill.
How's it going, Bill?
Not bad... Have you seen Bill?
Which one?
