I think it is supposed to be reminiscent of the murder of Laban by Nephi. The high-leg spearing technique relates more to Brazilian capoeira than ballet, suggesting a connection to the Hebrew mamushka.
😆

Moksha, now none of us will ever again be able to hear the legend of Teancum's assassination of Amalickiah (or of Nephi's whacking of Laban) around the campfire without Addams family imagery choreographing the scenes in our minds!

Speaking of Nephi and Laban dancing, check out Nephi’s breakdancing:

I don’t know how anyone can watch this and not think we are a cult.

Now that it's been pointed out what this guy's art is all about, I have some questions:

(A nearly naked shepherd boy, inappropriately dressed for a cold night)

Is his grasp of that staff, and its location relative to his body, meant to be a subtle reference to masturbation?
(The only one wearing modest clothing in this painting is the woman)
Image
Is the youngster's grasp on that spear, and both its shape and angle, meant to be a subtle reference to masturbation?
(Not sure what this is supposed to represent other than two nearly naked grown men, one who is clearly doing a ballet dance)
Image
Why did he draw Teancum with such an enormous, yet deformed, phallus?

This is a first for me. (That's what he said! har har!)

He's a talented artist and if he's hung in the temple, I'd love to know if MG 2.0 has noticed and what he thinks.

Definitely advances my belief that as the Roman Empire persecuted Christians only to become Christian, the Mormon Church will be the gay religion of the 22nd century, if not sooner. I imagine that many of the brethren are secretly enjoying this and waiting in the wings for their time to blossom.
Bingo. I call Witnesses in as my early signs of the same, along with this Brinkley fellow.
