Yes, that's the scene.

Thank you, Jersey Girl for bringing that image to my mind.
Hi so I don't know if you noticed where that is from. It's the scripture that Mary's father taught her when she was a little girl. It's from Jeremiah 43 as follows reading from the KJV so slightly different than how the scene reads:
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
So what they were doing there was artistically tying together familiar scripture from Mary's childhood and you have Jesus speaking as Lord a.k.a. God. So they were identifying Jesus as God. If you notice, each time Jesus calls a disciple in the series he calls them by name. ;)

I wanted to say, too, that The Chosen parted ways with Angel Studios. Legally speaking, Angel has no claim whatsoever on the series or representations of the series such as merch or whatever.

I might be misremembering here but I believe that in the beginning Angel was responsible for just the streaming services. That's why the studio name is on those seasons. Not so any more. Anyway...there's no tie between the two now. I think they still do film in Utah and use the Jerusalem set but they also film in Texas now.

Sorry you stopped following, you missed some really good stuff! If you decide to pick it up again bring your Bible and tissues. :)
Thanks, Jersey Girl for explaining some things and updating me on Angel Studios. I'll start season 3 tomorrow.

If you do start 3, go slow because Season 5 isn't due out until late March. :o

I'm starting back at S1 and slowly watching forward. I've probably seen each season 6 times over already. Always notice something new.

If you like cultural, geographical or historical stuff...check out The Chosen Sleuth channel on YouTube.

(I never got into The Left Behind Series if that helps to know. The Chosen belongs to Dallas and I think it's captivating!)
