After the Texas Suit, whatever the Elephant Party is, it is no longer the Republican Party. The Party that began with a man asking us to consult "the better angels of our nature" is ending with a man pouring gasoline on the fires of division. Lincoln said "As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide." HIs successor is letting his narcissistic rage rend the fabric of the nation stiched together by the 16th President.
It is now The Party Formerly Known As The Party Of Lincoln.
I should find the article I read yesterday that outlined the Texas politician’s motivations for currying favor for a pardon by filing this lawsuit. He’s dirty as “F”, and needs to get a pardon or he’s going to jail. I’ll see if I can muster the give-a-crap to track it down.
