Have you ever shot a gun? And I mean a real gun, not a pellet gun.
Yup. A nice solid man killing rifle that had been used in battle (though not by me, I'm very glad to say). And I got a badge for shooting it accurately, to sew on my sleeve. I also learned how to perform various ritual dances with it ... But so what? It's just a tool for doing an unpleasant but sometimes necessary job.

Given the choice, I'd rather have learned to play the piano.

I'm sorry to learn that Leeuniverse has children. SMH.

That's a cruel thing to say. He loves his boys.
Cruel indeed!

One of the more brutal posts I've seen.

Probably just as much as he loves his guns. I just hope his kids don't get caught in the crossfire when they're out shooting with Dad.
Serious question. Have you ever shot a gun? And I mean a real gun, not a pellet gun. You remind me of one of my cousin that was absolutely terrified of guns before she actually went to the shooting range with my family. She hated guns for most of here life until her house was broken into. She wasn't even home when it happened, but she was so terrified to sleep in her own house after the break in, she stayed at her moms house. She got a revolver and took 6 private lessons with a firearms instructor. She carries that gun everywhere, and guess what, she's a liberal🤯. A gun is just a tool, it can't grow legs and start shooting randomly at people.

I can't really tell who you are asking. My own answer is, yes I have. We have a private shooting range on our property.

That was a long time ago, when cameras were not in everyone's pocket, and people did not have the habit of photographing everything that moved. By the way, it was not a shirt, it was a battledress tunic.

But hey, if simplifies things for you, I just made it all up. Better now?

Re: “guns are tools.”

Tools are things that are meant to enhance ones capabilities. Yes, I could force a screw into a piece of wood, but a screwdriver makes it way easier.

If guns are tools, they are only tools that enhance ones ability to kill living things. What other possible purpose could they serve? If it’s target practice, then guns are toys and not tools. If guns are toys then they are the worlds most dangerous toys. Dangerous toys are quickly removed from the market—like those 1960s “atomic energy labs” that contained actual radioactive material.

We must remove guns from our society.

I guess we should also remove mouse traps, rat poison, pesticide, herbicide, anything that could possibly be used to kill living things.

When you can kill 50 people from a hotel window in a matter of minutes with any of those things then hell yes let’s ban them.

In 2018 it was estimated that there are roughly 1 billion firearms throughout the world. 85% of them are in civilian hands.

Even if you outlawed guns tomorrow, the type of people who regularly kill people with guns (gang members) will continue killing people with guns.

Handguns at close range are what kill the vast majority of Americans who are murdered:

Yes, guns enhance our ability to kill things. That's why my wife and girls know how to shoot tools that kill people. A 120lbs woman has almost no chance against a male intruder if she doesn't have a gun. What if kids involved? Does a mother have the right to defend her children? If not a gun, then what should she be "allowed" to use to defend her children?

This video is of a mother protecting her children with a gun. The man went after the children, broke through 2 locked doors and entered the attic where the family was hiding. Should she of used her 38 revolver she shot him with?
