Get real. It's the information, stupid.

Now lets get real. Richard Bushman has much information in his book. In fact, it is the definitive biography of Joseph Smith. Nothing happened to him. Why? Because his book was written in a faith promoting way. Likewise for many of the FAIR writers. It is not the information but the intent when presenting it. It is all in the presentation. And such is the problem with MormonThink. They have a goal to cast doubt in members' minds. This is their goal. And as David's blog shows, he is in apostacy as you also claimed.

You could have the sweetest, most harmless person in the entire world recite the truth about Joseph Smith and his truth claims, and it would still harm many testimonies.

Well, this is not exactly true. I have spoken to people about Joseph's polygamy. But I handle it is a faith promoting way. I concentrate on the spiritual experiences of the women before they said yes. I focus on the testimonies of these women and the fact, that they never said a negative word about him in public. I also focus on how he would ask the relatives of the women first. And how he taught the principle to the 12 apostles and the reaction of BY to the news. And so on and so on....also I refer them to the Institute manual where it states that Joseph Smith was a polygamist, why polygamy was instituted and that Louisa Beaman was his first plural wife in Nauvoo.

Now of course, if I would take the common position here and connect with the lust angle and how he was a horny bunny hopping to various holes to get his rocks off, well....that would certainly have a different impact.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.
