Internet communications sometimes give us an unwarranted sense of confidence that we "know" someone, due to the fact that many people seem to share more private details readily than they would in "real" life, with the inhibitions that being face-to-face often brings. It's very seductive, but can really lead you astray.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
