Well then, you do realize that you confess defeat by saying "there have not been any others". This implies you admit to a sole defeat -- this thread -- in particular: Facsimile No. 3. I can appreciate your willingness to show some honesty in this regard. This elevates your character in a positive way just a little bit. Even Dr. Scratch must admit that.

Now, I have a question for you Simon. It's a very simple question. Would you be surprised if the church removed the Facsimiles from the formal canon in the next edition of LDS scriptures?

Simon, I'll admit it, sometimes I am left confounded by you. If you have the hubris of zealot hope that there will be this Facsimile vindication, why not simply answer Paul's question NO, you do not think that Facsimiles will be removed from your Church's canon? The only thing that I can fathom why you would not is a fear that you have that before the day of vindication comes, your Church will get weak kneed and remove the Facsimiles from the canon--only to find out later that it should not have done so, as the vindication will prove up. I'm just trying to think of why in a single post someone would refuse to go out on a limb and say that the Facsimiles will remain part of the canon, but also boldly pronounce that the Facsimiles will one day be vindicated.

Simon, first, let me point out that one need not hold a degree from a university to acquire a lot of knowledge about a subject.

Second, just because someone talks about one subject doesn't mean they don't know a lot about another subject.

Third, imagine Daniel C. Peterson making a website about ladies swimwear. That fact in itself doesn't mean he knows jack about Islamic issues.
