That’s the thing. They weren’t. There was no cabal of transgendered, badly-made up people with an affinity for dresses and ponchos that held anyone down and forced this upon Jaguar’s management. It was just a team of folks deciding that there could be a way to profit off of this imagery and theme.Makes me wonder if they were being blackmailed or held hostage in some way.
We can compare this (failed) free-market exercise in capitalism against the government forcing museums like the Smithsonian to edit or delete the mention of slavery within their exhibits because it offends MAGAs sensibilities. The Jaguar situation is one where you retain your personal choice to buy a Jaguar or not. The other does not offer you a choice in its government-forced effort to erase unpleasant history from our view.
