I think the general consensus is that it was a poor move on the Utah legislature's part...particularly since it appears that the majority of parents WANTED the curriculum for their children.


We have had some strange posts on this thread, and some irrelevant ones.

But it does not seem that anyone who has read the bill disagrees with what you say - apart, if I recall rightly bcspace, who apparently does not like the idea of schools with a curriculum in the first place.

There is also the point that the bill removes all choice from school boards in the matter of what is taught about contraception: they are simply forbidden from allowing it to be taught at all, apart, that is, from telling students not to have sex.
