The nice thing about this place, jskains, is that we will give you more than enough rope to hang yourself with. The mods over at MD&D were doing you a favour.

Any more than you hanging yourself over admitting to sabotaging church computer systems in some egotistical effort to prove the system fallible?

Not to entirely change the subject, but Josh I am curious if you've ever tried posting on other LDS boards? In particular that Orson Scott Card thing, called, If I recall correctly, Nauvoo Forum?

Just curious about various board climates...

It's odd how those lines get drawn, though, eh? It wasn't that long ago several of their leading lights were promoting charlatans like Paul Cameron and Judith Reisman - both fond of linking homosexuality to pedophilia - as part of their standard discourse. Granted, there is the thinnest veneer of pseudoscience covering them, but it still is highly embarrassing if you're aware of what's being argued. It's more that jskains crossed a new line in the sand over what has entered the category of public shame.

I have checked a few places that are calm, with no debate like the Nauvoo Forum and some Facebook groups. Those are pleasant and we all get along, but they don't offer anything. And those I don't bring up any controversial. Plus most of my normal LDS interactions is simply Church. I think human interaction is far superior.

Honestly, I spend very little time on internet Mormonism at all. I usually have it up when I am waiting on some other task to complete (Servers being build, waiting for a download, etc.), but now that we bought out first home and are getting ready to rebuild the thing, I am not sure any time will be left for anything like this anymore.

I was only venting because I have always felt that Mormon "Dialogue" was just too over controlled and cliquish. No matter what I said, far worse has been said by a vast majority of that group, but Nemesis has always chosen me as a target. I honestly believe it is because I actually say what most believe, but I actually say it. And instead of supporting it, they make themselves look good by acting like they are against it.

Internet Mormonism is a very odd group from both Anti and Pro.

Oh my God. Talk about bullcrap drama. Nothing I said crosses any lines. I can list dozens of posts made on that board that make my comments seem like child's play.

It simply amazes me how dramatic you folks can make things seem.

Yeah, things are going great here. I found an area with both LDS and Non-LDS, making a nice balance. And we are finally excited about the house. It's cool. 3500 square feet. I couldn't imagine that in California. :)

Of course that isn't the only reason they are against him. They are also against him because he is a Muslim and wasn't born in the United States.

Typical Liberal bullcrap LYING.....!

Obama being Muslim or not born in the U.S. are the LOWEST things on our radar if even at all.
We are against him because he's a radical Marxist/Communist/Socialist who is trying to radically change America into a 2nd World country like other country's.

He want's to make us as poor as others, having no power as others, etc.
He thinks we steal our wealth, that people have too much wealth, etc.
Liberals don't get that "wealth" is not a Finite PIE that needs to be divided up.
The Freedoms and Capitalism of America has created wealth that has lifted everyone, rich and poor. The poor of this country live like many of the middle class of other countries. And the wealth separation in other country's is even FAR greater. Wealth and power in a few, while many poor and few middle class.

Liberal policy's have NEVER worked anywhere. And the country's that do have them ultimately have to become more capitalistic, deregulated, etc. in order to survive.

Anyway, bottom line, we don't give a crap that Obama is black or otherwise.
We care about his ideology and actions that are and will destroy this country.
Get a clue you ignorant bleep!
We would LOVE for Allen West to be President (in fact, this time around I think he's the best pick for Romney's VP), and we at one point wanted Colin Powell to be President until he turned out to be a flaming liberal in many issues.

So spare us your bigoted LYING....!
It is liberals like YOU who are obsessed with "race" because of your guilt, and identity and class politics.
Conservatives don't give crap one way or another about race. We judge people based on their character. PERIOD.
