Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: I would. But then again I wouldn't participate as much as Mr. Mak has participated, thus propagating the inevitable victim complex Mormons have perfected. I'm surprised people fall for it repeatedly, but it is what it is since this is really the only thing they (Mormon apologists) can do when it comes to the topic of Mormonism.
You'll note originally the thread was about the idea Mr. Mak was pushing for a kinder, more inclusive Mormonism and its subsequent failure as an idea thanks to the Church's new conservative policy on homosexuality. I'm pretty certain he played a large role in making it personal rather than discussing the topic and pushing for the topic to be talked about, rather than him being the point of discussion.
But, maybe I expect too much from someone who possesses multiple degrees and is regarded by this community as an intellectual?
Anyway. I see your point. I think you're probably a little heavy handed on this issue, but then again Sanctorian has gotten personal. I would like to see OP's topic discussed, but Mr. Mak has demonstrated he isn't interested in doing so.
Anyway, Sanctorian, what's the damned point of this thread except projecting your personal issues onto an individual?
You're carrying on as if this person you don't know literally embodies an ideology. Maybe a therapist is a better person than DrCam for you to be consulting about this.

This thread was good and dead until Mak resurrected it so he could cry foul. The original thread had nothing to do with Mak outside of his claim that insiders of whom he was a part of were pushing for change on the inside. The church threw a flaming bag of dog crap on that plan with this new policy. This thread probably wasn't even on the front page anymore which means Mak sniffed out his name and decided to not address the OP but turn it into his personal persecution complex.
Why pat him on the back for failing to address the OP? I saw through his BS and called him out on it. If that means I need to see a therapist, sign me up.
No, your self-serving characterization isn't quite the whole story. You left out the part where you're ranting like a lunatic that Maklelan, who is an identifiable individual, is this mystery man who could be anyone, and who is both a real person and yet also the incarnation of some character that exists in your head of what an abstract ideology is.
And you're pretending to be taken aback that he noticed and responded to your delusional fantasy that he personally is your arch-nemesis, even though you don't know him and you have no idea if he is anything like this persona you have invented for him. You're making idiotic accusations about what he's doing in his personal life that you couldn't possibly know.
It's like the creepy obsessions people get with celebrities.

Lol! Sort of like how you now are characterizing me whom you know nothing about and stated I need counseling.

Yeah, when I have no idea who you are or where you work, didn't start a call-out thread about the way I have invented a personification of a hated ideology projected onto your face, don't share my fantasies that in some insanse way you're my personal rival, and am only commenting on your observable statements---that's exactly the same as what you're doing.

that's my point. You only think you know Mak because he has shared with you a highly filtered part of his in real life information and therefore you defend him. Go back and read any thread Mak is a part of. When does it never turn into something exactly like this thread? I've only been here a couple of years but whenever Mak comments, it always turns into a thread just like this. Furthermore, Mak has no problem bringing up threads from YEARS before I even joined that also ended up just like this.
Contrary to your claims, I don't have a personal vendetta against Mak. I see a pattern that he likes to derail threads, avoid questions and claim superiority over everyone all in the name of Mormonism. The only real issue I have with Mak is his constant peddling a religion that he clearly does not believe in its truth claims. He has no problem selling the myth of Mormonism knowing it's exactly that, a myth. That seems to be intellectually dishonest, but then again, I'm not employed by the church.

I don't think I know him. I'm not participating in your delusions.
therefore you defend him.
I'm not defending him. I'm criticzing your lunatic statements.
I'll help you out here: you think you know me. It goes both ways Darth. Your delusions of me are exactly what your claiming I'm doing to Mak. Maybe you need therapy. Lol.
