Re: Shady Acres Jukebox
This is a sexy song. It's just perfect to start off my weekend.

Lucinda Williams's Hot Blood
Just a shakin' in my knees, just a cold chill
Don't know what it is, just call it a thrill
Just a lump in my throat, just hot blood
Don't know what it is, some call it love
Well I saw you out in your car
You had the top down, you were drivin' real slow
Well I saw you in the grocery store
Buyin' tomatoes for a casserole
Well I saw you in the laundrymat
Washin' your clothes, gettin' all the dirt out
Well I saw you with your car broke down
Fixin' your flat with a tire iron
KA

Re: Shady Acres Jukebox
I love this country song from Daughtry's new album.
Featuring Vince Gil.
Tennessee Line

I open my lungs
To breathe in forgiveness and love
Haunting me now
Reminders of how I used to be
And on down the road
My troubles are sure to follow
Looking out the window
The hell if I know where I will go
So I’ll just keep on driving
On my way to LA
Looking into the rearview as the roads fade away
I’ve sworn off my past
First to last bad call that I ever made
Tell me how to make right
Every wrong turn that I’ve learned
So this can all end tonight
Tennessee line (Tennessee line) just changed my mind
Well it’s my heart I’ll follow this time
Who would’ve known (who would’ve known)
That pride is so hard to swallow
As I rest on the shoulder
Of a road growing colder with the trouble I own
Should I just keep on driving
On my way to LA
Looking into the rearview as the roads fade away
I’ve sworn off my past
First to last bad call that I ever made
Tell me how to make right
Every wrong turn that I’ve learned
So this can all end tonight
Tennessee line (Tennessee line) just changed my mind
Well it’s my heart I’ll follow this time
I know I must be doing something right
Head the other way back to where I started out
Ask myself if I can turn it all around tonight
And stop living with doubt
On my way to LA
Looking into the rearview as the roads fade away
I’ve sworn off my past
First to last bad call that I ever made
Tell me how to make right
Every wrong turn that I’ve learned
So this can all end tonight
Tennessee line (Tennessee line) just changed my mind
Well it’s my heart I’ll follow this time
I've sworn off my past
First to last bad call that I ever made
Well it's my heart I'll follow this time
I've sworn off my past
First to last bad call that I ever made
Oh, I'll turn it all around tonight
Turn it all around tonight
Turn it all around tonight
I’m gonna turn it all around tonight

The emergence of Lady Gaga
I've been jamming to quite a bit of Lady Gaga lately. Here, in my opinion, are her four best songs:
And here's a great one that hasn't been released to the radio yet:
Enjoy!
- Just Dance (2:59-3:24 is my favorite part, music-wise.)
- Poker Face
- Love Game
And here's a great one that hasn't been released to the radio yet:
Enjoy!

This is one of my favoritest songs in the world:
Gary Louris's Every Word
He wrote it for a crossword puzzle documentary called Wordplay. I am happy to report that I bought the movie and will watch it tonight with my ladybugs.
Here's Gary playing the song with Vetiver. It's a great rendition, but I wish the sound were a bit better:

I been lovin' you, so long, so long!
Spring into summer, spring into summer, spring into summer...

Anyone a Jason Mraz fan?
Here is one of my favorites...
Lucky
Honestly, this is a perfect song for some seriously sultry dancing!

Re: Shady Acres Jukebox

I have come to the horrific realization that I have seriously neglected R&B music. Sure we have had a smackling here and there, but no serious attention.
Commodores - Nightshift
Three times a lady
Smokey Robinson - Tracks of My Tears
Just To See Her
Marvin Gaye - Lets Get It On
How Sweet It Is To Be Loved by You
The Temptations - Papa was a rollin'stone
Get Ready
The Supremes - Reflections
You Keep Me Hangin' On
Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine
Lean On Me
Stevie Wonder - Superstition
Sir Duke
Tina Turner - Proud Mary
What's love got to do with it

Re: Shady Acres Jukebox
Shades,
I'm stunned, my friend. I am also a *huge* Lady Gaga fan. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago I finally, after 3 years, overcame whatever mental block I had to fix the setup of my humble little music studio so it's functional again. The very first thing I did to break things in was to sequence "Poker Face".

Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Hey, cool! Another fan of Lady Gaga!
I'm impressed with what you did with your music studio--Hell, I'm even more impressed by the fact that you even have one--but what does "sequence Poker Face" mean?
(I know what "Poker Face" is, but I have no idea what it means to "sequence" it.)
