You've been had, Why Me.

What color is flint? Lamanites were not turned into the color of africans from subsahara africa. See the point? So what is the color of black in the Book of Mormon?

Take a pick...but I see no black.
Because the indian was considered red skinned as my link shows. Black referred to the african slaves. Since the Lamanites are referred to as having black skin, we have no idea just what black and white meant in the Book of Mormon.
Does any word in the Book of Mormon mean what it says?

Horse = not a horse
Steel = wood with stone in it
North = Kind of westerly
Chariot = some kind of sled without wheels
Barley = well...not barley
Hill Cumorah = not THE Hill Cumorah

and now, news just in...

Black = some colour other than black

The translation of the Book of Mormon is becoming a laughing stock.
To believe it you have to discount how it was translated in favour of some faith promoting myth as to how it happened. Once you get past that you have to ignore the racism within it. Got all that on the shelf? Good, now you need to accept that God was incapable of giving Joseph Smith the correct words for what the 'authors' of the Book of Mormon meant to say.

Unbelievable (both the book and why me)

The black in the Book of Mormon can not be the same color as africans who live in subsahara africa. The term must refer to a different color than black. And the nephites can not be the color white as in the nordic race. We are dealing with different perception of color in both instances. And this is why Joseph Smith changed white to pure. What is so hard about that. I also gave the pigmentation for flint. You can choose your color for the lamanites but it wasn't black.

Sadly God didn't know the English word that accurately described the colour(s) of the people whom the book talks about, go figure...
