No problem if you actually challenged the S/R theory...but you've never done that. The extent that you've added is along the lines of 'if Spalding's theory is true that means all the Book of Mormon witnesses would be liars and they couldn't be liars' and 'I'm unimpressed with the S/R theory.' You have yet to actually discussion it with any sort of intellectual critical evaluation, and any sort of knowledge that showed you knew factual information and could actually critically evaluate it.

It's not a stupid question at all. Did you read what Brent said? He is, as I am, open to plausible ideas, not ones that were discredited in the 19th century, then again, and again, in the 20th century, even by non-Mormon scholars!
