Last night a kid prowling the streets of Kenosha with an assault rifle killed two people and injured a third. He was ostensibly there to guard a gas station, and there is video of him yucking it up with police, but after shots were fired, a video showed him running down a street with people chasing him. When they catch him, he turns and fires on them. People are insisting he shot in self defense, but he still scampered off to hide, and the police are currently searching for him. Hopefully we can get these facts straightened out before too long. The videos of the people he shot are so graphic. A guy got a huge chunk of his arm blown off.

The degenerates on 4chan are super excited that this kicks off their much anticipated low-level civil war. My wife were talking about this particular event on our morning drive, in that once you reach this level of violence it becomes normalized. I wouldn't be surprised if we more of this happening. I wish this wasn't the case, but I'm not hopeful.

Hrm. It looks like he was standing with an armed Libertarian group there to simultaneously protect BLM protesters, attack government targets, and to protect businesses. If you scroll down the thread you can see a few of the players that were next to him in the still. If I had to guess he probably engaged rioters/looters, but of course I don't know the details.

Kenosha gunman Kyle Rittenhouse arrested for murder after cops let him flee out of state

An Illinois teenager has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a demonstrator in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, was charged Wednesday with first-degree intentional homicide in a shooting late Tuesday during a clash between protesters of police brutality and right-wing militia group members.

The militia members had gathered to protect a gas station from looters and vandals, and video shows police offer Rittenhouse water shortly before the shooting and thank him for being there.

Cell phone footage shows Kenosha police telling armed insurrectionists, “We appreciate you guys. We really do,” and giving them bottles of water. Another video shows Rittenhouse open fire with a rifle after he’s knocked to the ground and then calmly walk toward police vehicles with his hands raised in surrender.

However, no officers are seen getting out of the vehicles, which continue advancing toward protesters, to apprehend Rittenhouse — who then fled the state and was considered a fugitive.

He was arrested later Wednesday back in his hometown.

Take a moment to read the comments. This escalation will spread, and what we need is leadership that understands the situation and can bring peaceful resolution. Unfortunately I don’t think people want this.
