Ray, If you belive Mormon's are wrong for not telling the truth about their religion in the 1800's, I think it's okay to write on this board your thoughts just in case anyone reading may be thinking of joining the church.
Do you really want your friends going to a sunday school teaches them that Moses was a man who existed if that was not the case. Do you want them to believe in myths but discount eye witness testimony regarding Joseph Smith's character. I think that would be a road to trouble.
I think back about my temple experience and how it affected me consciously and unconsciously - regarding the penalites and having my throat cut or being disembowled. Was this a reason for panic attacks and paranoia and depression after my excommunication.
Everyone should know at the beginning that Joseph Smith married Orson Pratts wife when he was on a mission to palestine. Everyone should know that Joseph Smith was always on the run, not as an innocent man but because of crimes he committed in places where he use to live.
