From the Tower I'm working in on the strip I watch those planes come and go everyday. They have no markings on them, no identification numbers.
I know several people who used to board those planes. The "comany" that runs the flights used to operate out of teh same small office building on Flamingo I used to work in. Gawd, the test site is the real story that needs to be told about Vegas. Frigging awesome stuff happened out there and no one knows about it due to obscurity.
I remember growing up with framed professional lithographs of the Nuclear tests in my Grandparents den. LOTS of cool stuff goes on there.

I used to read TOOL's blog. The band goes out there all the time to watch the planes flying around. They have had numerous run ins with the security that pops up out in the middle of the desert. My favorite story is the one where they were sittign in their folding chairs watching stuff, and then woke up in their tents the next morning with no memory of having gone to bed.

The site is located between the Monte Carlo and the Bellagio. Its got a 10 Billion dollar budget. The Dubai corporation just bought into half of all MGM properties, including this one.
