Yes, I've noticed it only on primarily LDS boards and only from LDS or ex-LDS men.
Ok. Look, I think this means something. Moniker, Jersey Girl, and myself did NOT grow up LDS. We've all participated on other boards. All three of us have noticed something unique to LDS and exLDS male/female interactions.
I'm not sure just what it means yet, but it does make me feel like I haven't imagined this... and, scottie, I'm not trying to get men to stop being men. This has to do with Mormonism, men, and sexuality.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
I do think it's interesting that three women who did NOT grow up LDS sense something is "off".
Have you noticed this, Jersey Girl? Do you participate on other, nonLDS boards? Do you agree that the LDS theme boards have this particular sort of condescension going on?
Yes, I've noticed it only on primarily LDS boards and only from LDS or ex-LDS men.
But not Bond, eh??
No.

Funny you should mention that. I was berated a few nights on this board (and chat room) by men telling me I shouldn't be crying and to suck it up. Respectful? No.
Do men that I interact with go (channeling Beavis) "ahuhuhuhuhuh she said sex"? No, they don't, Scottie. I think you're taking this thread quite personally. I think women that invite you to flirt with them is different than what beastie and I are talking about.
I read Moniker's blog and what I came off thinking was...."here's someone who really really doesn't want any sex." But I guess with some people mentioning sex means that sex is wanted....and can never mean sex is unwanted. You can take the person out of the church but can you take that churchy idea that procreation is necessary/good/desired out of the person?

There are a few real men out there who are...well, like women want them to be. You know, the sensitive guy who cries at movies and shows all the care and compassion of a woman....basically a woman in a mans body.
This is NOT what I'm talking about at all!!!
And, frankly, if this were just boys being boys... you'd see the same phenomenon on any internet board. I haven't. Moniker hasn't. Jersey Girl hasn't.

Ok, my initial adrenaline surge and over-reaction has worn off now...
Beastie, I guess I'm confused as to what you are talking about. Do you have some specific examples? Perhaps that could put some context into the discussion.
If there's one thing I've learned from this board, it's that consensual sex with multiple partners is okay unless God commands it. - Abman

Well, I do desire sexual intimacy - yet, I wasn't looking to hop into bed with any pervert waiting around the MDB corner. :)

LOL. Maybe it's cause I RULE!
