Is the Constitution Hanging by a Thread?

If the U.S. Constitution were "hanging by a thread" (and I do believe it is in danger) it would be because the rights guaranteed U.S. citizens by the first ten amendments of the constitution, or Bill of Rights, have been jeopardized over the last seveal years by

-the Patriot Act
-the Military Commssions Act of 2006 (habeus corpus)
-the John Warner Reauthorization Act of 2007 (martial law)
-the gradual shift of constitutional powers (specifically the war power) from Congress to the presidency (weakening the separation of powers and checks/balances)
-the use of presidential "signing statements"
-illegal NSA wiretapping and spying on Americans

Will the Elders of the church rush in to save the Constitution from destruction?

I say no, absolutely not, because most of the TBM members of the church support the above laws and changes to the constitution, and think those laws are necessary to save us from those evil "terr'ists".

So - yes, civil liberties are being threatened.

And no, the majority of TBM's are radical conservatives who believe in "security" over "liberty."

The whole constitution + thread "revelation" comes down to a Mormon masturbation fantasy that involves the church taking center stage and "saving" everyone. Sad.

The purpose of this type of revelation is not to follow through with it and save the constitution. The purpose is to pump up the ego of believers.
