Nightlion wrote:Thirty years ago I began to study by faith and by prayer the LDS standard works, which I was already expert at, to round off the barbs of unsophisticated LDS recreational theology that never squared with LDS scripture.
Seeking the answer to the Adam-God perplexity and the open ended references to Jesus Christ being the Very Eternal Father featured prominently in the Book of Mormon (so much so that it was removed more than it was retained) and a few other split ends of hairs of doctrine long ignored and never spoken to I dedicated four years of full time unpaid diligence to the task.
For envy I was never honored for my work in the days I completed it. Rather I was put on official Church disiplined probation, and no church authority would sit with me or entertain any of this at the time. Some local yokals tried but it was dismal. I doubt none ever will address it because you cannot field new thoughts without the comfort of the power of the Holy Ghost to assure you. They must do the first works.
These were the days before Hoffmann when Metcalf was working at the LDS Church Historical Library. The amazing and thrilling theology that unfolded was realized by the power of the Holy Ghost taken out of existing LDS standard works alone.
Concluded:
1.LDS standard works are sufficient to understand a complete and workable theology that rolls perfectly from one eternity to the next inclucive of docrines already understood properly.
2.The Adam-God doctrine is false every which way it has been treated except for its remnant in this effort.
3.Exaltation is not godhood on the same eternal round as that of God the Father, Christ and the Holy Ghost.
4.Adam and Eve are the spirit body parents of the Human Race.
5.There is only One Godhead in all eternity and throughtout all the cosmos.
6. Eve needed to come into the Garden of Eden to replenish her "spent" conceptions that had already finished all the hosts thereof in the spiritual creation where Adam and Eve were commanded to multiply and replenish the Earth before the Garden.
7. When man was created both male and female in the likeness of God this is the resurrection unto exaltation of Adam and Eve (in Celestial Glory in the likeness and image of God) who were never married in the scriptural narative because they were already married for all eternity before they were resurrected. As a couple they were commanded to multiply and replenish with the spiritual seed of exalted parents.
8. The Father, Son and Holy Ghost tread in each other's tracks and inherit what the one before them leaves. Meaning that Christ was, is and will be,,,,,,,,,,,Christ, over and over again every third generation of the Heavens. The term Holy Ghost refers to the Ghost of the Holy Father from whence the Holy Ghost vacates his previous posistion seated upon the thrown of power. leaving behind the body which shall be inhabited by his successor.
9.The body of Christ is still flesh and blood that he took again and was not properly resurrected because he will not use it forever. It still bears the physical scars of his crucifixion and cannot therefore be a glorious resurrected body fully restored.
10. The ordinance of eating the drinking the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ will have a litteral fulfillment at that moment when all things become new and Jesus Christ will sit upon the very throne of power which shall be moved to the location of this earth. The physical husk of the body of Christ will be disposed of to fill all those who ever worthily partook of these emblems in proper ordinances.
11. Christ is, was, and will be, the Very Eternal Father as are all three each in there turn as they continue on there coarse which is one eternal round. Christ told the Jews. What and if ye shall see the Son of Man ascend up to where he was before. This is what he meant. John 6.
12. The creation of Adam in the Garden of Eden was to take the dust of the physical world and incorporate it, fuse it, with the spiritual, resurrected body that was called putting his spirit into him. This was to tether the man Adam to remain upon this earth. After he had assimilated the gross elements of this world sufficiently a rib was taken to form the tether for Eve so that she would not have to suffer the assimilation process as much as Adam did. How genteel of him.
13. The keys of the priesthood link all exaltations under one head so that one atonement carries forth throughout all worlds without number which are each the workmanship of the One True God.
14. There are four stages of creation, and five stages of existence.
A. Light and truth which cannot be created or made
B. The organization of intelligence where light and truth obey the commandment of God, or in other words God speaks and man is created, to come out with the gifts of knowledge to organize themselves according to that sphere of existence to which they were appointed.
C. Those who did not rebel were added upon with a spiritual body at the commandments given to exalted parent who were to conintue the seed both in the world and out of the world.
D. The physical world where we are added upon again.
E. The resurrection/exaltation/created in the likeness and image of God for the next generation of the heavens and the earth.
15.Christ was never just an Elder Brother amongst the organized intelligences. He was the Chosen and Only Begotten of the Father leaving the position of the Holy Ghost to become the Lamb of God.
16. All the creations of God are accomplished by the word of his power which are his commandments and he does not create by sexual copulations. Again none of the three have any wives.
17. There is no Eternal Mother but there are in each world one like unto Eve, the mother of all living.
Lesser conclusions:
1.The Holy Ghost is never born into this world.
2.Satan is not the brother of Jesus Christ.
3. Men are called gods in their exaltation only because they also lay down their lives and take them again as do the Very Gods.
4. The Very Eternal Father cannot logically ever continue the seeds in exaltation because he would also have to enter the physical world and continue the other seeds, for there are two separate seeds that continue both in the world and out of the world forever and ever.
I just wrote this up without consulting with my paper but it makes most of the startling points of my radical theology. Enjoy.
If you want to dig out the scriptural references this paper is at the end of my book THE WITNESS OF LATTER-DAY ZIONhttp://www.fireark.org
