Wood-eye be willing two doo that? Submit my articles for review/ critic? People might laugh at my simple use of the English language. Or thay might sea the pure genius of my prose? One thing is sure:

As a writer we work with words and words are our work. Count me in!

Looking forward to sea-ing the genius of your prose (you old wood-eye). You definitely have the humor part down!

I love this idea.

How about a drawing room too?

All great ideas!

And just think, we owe it all to SGW!

Somehow I doubt this unexpected and intriguing evolution in the scope of MDB will make it into the Neighborhood Watch newsletter.

I recommend calling a catch all forum for writing/art (perhaps a subforum of the off topic forum) the "Mormon Discussion Graffiti Wall" or "The Graffiti Wall". And I want it yesterday. :D

One of the (many), reasons I enjoy this board is because I learn a lot as I interact with others. As I observe how other's write, use humor, draw, experience their world, etc., I notice more of life

Typically, I tend to work with, and hang around people similar to me and this can get me in a bit of a rut at times.

As I play on this board, I find myself listening to new music, checking links that I would normally not discover, even watching you tubes that I do not particularly care for, all of which expand my experience of life.

The fact that there are so many posters here who are incredibly talented and have so much to offer in all sorts of ways is a side benefit of this forum.

Also, if we get a writer's forum, we could have a thread for recommended books, poetry, etc.?

What do you say, Doc? (smile)

Oh yeah, one more thing, I think it should be a forum where good behavior is required. As my parents would say, "We must be ladies and gentlemen!" LOL!

Let's make this happen folks!

I like the idea of both writing and drawing/photo discussion.

I'm super busy getting a bunch of conference proposals out of the way this weekend (and trying to set up some interviews with authors whose work I'm writing on), but next week I can help hash out the best way to set this thing up.

Sorta on topic, but The Dude pointed me to a place where you can have your writing analyzed and find out whose writing styles is closest to yours. Yeah, I know, it's kind of pointless, but fun.

I Write Like

Apparently, I write like William Gibson. Darn, I was shooting for Steinbeck. :-)

I write like H.P. Lovecraft. Not sure if that's good or bad.

That's what it said for one of my posts too, Bond. Another one was apparently written in the syle of Leo Tolstoy.

I was hoping for Douglas Adams or Mark Twain. :(
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.
