Is the curse of Cain doctrine completely unique to Mormonism. I realize that Mormon leaders may have spoken of it up until later periods of time, but isn't it more likely that the curse of Cain doctrine is a doctrine borrowed from other protestant religions, not something that was invented by Mormonism.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Brigham and his fellows began introducing the doctrine in 1849-1852, and yes, it appears in American Christian thought before them, especially in the South.

It is true that the Southern Baptists used to teach that Negroes are the descends of Ham and Canaan and could justifiably be enslaved.
But....
The Southern Baptist have issued a PUBLIC APOLOGY for that.
The LDS Church has said: "We NEVER taught that blacks were EVER cursed. WE NEVER taught that blacks were EVER the children of Cain!"
Public Affairs has been saying that since at least 1996. This is called COVER-UP. It is "LYING FOR THE LORD". It needs to be exposed to millions of Americans.
