Most excellent.

Are you guys seeing your own avatars? I think you need to take action of some sort.
add: Ludwig, Schmo, Zeezrom

by the way
I am ludwigm. M is my family name.
In some level You are right.
ludwig is my version of an Old High German given name. Etymologically, the name can be traced back to the Germanic name Hludwig, composed of Hlud/Hluth meaning "famous", and Wig meaning "warrior".
In Hungarian, it is LAJOS. You can not pronounce it as it is.
I am a famous warrior...

Mercury, Gadianton, Kevin Graham, Spurven Ten Sing, why me, thews, and CaliforniaKid
also need to fix their avatars as they are not visible to the world since the upgrade.
It seems that maybe some people can see their own avatars but they are not visible to the rest of us.
I am just guessing, but I bet that anyone who hasn't reset or otherwise fiddled with their avatar setting since the recent upgrade, needs to do something even though they might still be seeing their avatars on their own computer (we can't).
Try deleting temporary internet files or use a different browser and many of you will see that your avatars are not visible.
If you are unsure, then chances are you are in this group.
I don't want to be a nanny but it drives me crazy to see a mere red X where a cool and familiar avatar used to be.

Um, I just assumed my avi was visible, but I never fiddled with it.

Yes. I don't know why. I guess I don't fully understand what is happening but a ton of people seem unaware that their avatars aren't visible. Or maybe they just don't care.
Let me also add DarkHelmet. Put back your avatar dude.
The new list: Mercury, Gadianton, Kevin Graham, Spurven Ten Sing, why me, thews, CaliforniaKid and DarkHelmet
(don't want them to miss this)
