There's a very good reason, Dr. But it's subtle. The kind of subtly necessary to slip censors on a Mormon Discussions Board, though. ;)

It is really only loosely tied to the OP, but the aspect of the program that came to mind while reading the other posts were from the second half of the program. In particular, the question regarding the necessity for every country to go through an "industrial revolution" of sorts in order to emerge from being a developing economy to a truly 1st world society.
While the above is debatable, I think it's good to reflect back on what it meant before child labor laws, environmental protection, and worker's right became part of the fabric of American Greatness as some may call it. But putting it in the context of something many of us use everyday or at least know of helps even more.
In that sense, trying to pin it down with a label would be post hoc at best. in my opinion of course.

If Gov. Huntsman wants to believe that he is the descendant of a monkey, then he has the right to believe that — but I disagree with him on this and the many other liberal beliefs he shares with Democrats.
I will Not vote for someone for President who does not believe in evolution, and who is an opponent of embryonic stem cell research.
I agree with you on this troubling point about Santorum. I also find the conservative proposal to implant electrodes to dampen human brain activity in order to make more responsive voters and consumers to be troubling.
Getting back to Honorentheo's original post, Santorum knows that the true measure of morality is to be found in maximizing profits and reducing taxes. That is why the godless touting of global warning must be opposed, since it is fraught with the potential of decreasing profits and raising taxes.

The only people who ever proposed anything like that were leftists. That's because only leftists actually believe that everyone who disagrees with them is mentally ill.
They were also once very big on racial hygiene, but...we don't talk about that now...

I am so old that I can remember when most of the people promoting race hate were white.

Those wacky leftists eliminating of those, classified by their social hygiene theory as useless eaters, in cyanide gas chambers just to help reduce taxes!

Hi Droopy,
I've thought a bit about what would be the most productive way to dialog on this with you. After some thought, I decided against a back and forth on your points (frankly because I didn't see most as being real starters for an actual conversation) but instead wonder if you wouldn't mind reading this link and pointing out where you agree strongest. Hopefully with some specifics in mind.
He also thinks that mainline protestants / liberal Christians aren't Christians. That you might not care about, but you probably do care that there's no way he thinks LDS are Christians. I'm pretty sure he's more or less implied they are a dangerous cult. If you don't care about that now, you would under a Santorum presidency where his efforts to pervade the government with Christian rule have Mormons looking on the outside in.
