I had a Facebook account, deleted after a few month.

Today, I have one, created on fictional name and all personal data.
(Many blog use Facebook to log in, and I can see the others...)

I am thinking to delete myself from iwiw because the "features" go mad.

Agree.

We are with you Dan. That looked like a video clip well worth watching. Have you seen any of the Smosh videos? My daughter insists that I watch a couple of them with her every once in a while. They are way less enticing than Jennifer Lopez.

(Moderator Note)in real life Picture and Facebook caption removed.

Dan, see that little image of the world after "46 minutes ago"? That means this post is "public" and everyone, even if they're not Facebook friends with you, can see it and the accompanying comments. You and I aren't friends on Facebook, but when I go to your wall, I can see every post you've made that has that little "world" image with it. Maybe you've made those posts public on purpose, but you can limit visibility of those posts to friends or "friends of friends" if they were made public by mistake.

[offtopic?]

Call me a paranoid.

- I have a clip on the lens of builtin webcam
- an empty connector in the microphone input (to switch off the internal microphone).
- I delete - selectively - the Firefox history/cache on a weekly basis
- and a dozen list of "history", "recent" and "cookie"

Based on DCP's comment, it appears he watched the entire video. No doubt DCP likes to complete the things he starts.

I have a Facebook account, but don't use it that often. I can see how something like this could happen. If something like that had happened to me, I would be embarrassed, and would have likely said something. I have work colleagues who are friends of mine on Facebook, and that is something that I would be concerned about from just a common reputation standpoint.

Still, for what it's worth, Dan, if you are reading this here, I don't think it is that big of a deal. I am sure that your friends and colleagues know what type of person you are, and that this was a crazy mishap.

It does give one pause. I am going to have to monitor my Facebook account more carefully. It looks like we all should; it sounds like it is becoming a little "big brotherish".

Oh brother. Of course, when DCP looks at salacious videos, it must be for some righteous reason. Let's face it, LDS are like everyone else - they like a good show, they like boners, they like tits, they like a nice shaped ass shaking it. DCP isn't the first LDS to be caught looking at sexy stuff via SocialCam or other social readers. Hell, the former bishop of my ward read an article on Yahoo! about "The Top 50 Sexual Things You Must Try Before You Die" and it was blabbered all over Facebook. The sister who taught me the discussions also got caught looking at some porn related thing on a social reader. And a number of stake and ward leaders in my stake are connected to adult entertainers on LinkedIn.

So while it's possible that DCP was just verifying that there was something interesting about Pitbull's boner, I think it's more likely Dan is just a sexually curious kid in the internet candy shop.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go verify that all the porn on the internet is as bad as the GA's say it is. To verify, you know.

Please, please - let this be the first time that DCP gets the point about what to do when in a hole ...

Yup. Just don't dig any deeper ...

But what are the chances he will learn the value of an uncomplaining silence?

I laughed out loud about this thread several times since last night. I mean you just can't make this stuff up.

So Dan goes into the forbidden, which is unexpected of good, temple going Mormons. What's new? As discussed earlier, Utah leads the nation in online access to Porn, and it is hardly surprising to most of us who were once sexually repressed Mormons.

Instead of just owning up to this and admitting his fleshly weaknesses, he wants to sell us this story about how the only reason he watched this video was because he was looking after someone else. Seriously, Dan? Like you had no idea what the title of the video, of the thumbnail of the video implied?

Thank you Dan, for demonstrating once again just how convoluted and dishonest the apologetic mind can be.

The irony here is that you consider us enemies and yet we're probably the only people who won't judge you for this. I'm more bothered by the fact that you're lying about your reasons for watching it than I am the fact that you watched it.

Here's how Mr. Peterson should've handled it:

1) Delete the Social Cam application.

2) Say this: "I guess the old adage is true. Never take a Viagra before performing with Jennifer Lopez!"
