- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei
Anyone who ever harbored doubts that you spent 39 years in a military organization should have all such doubts removed by now.

Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

That's why I found these new documents intriguing: it seems like they shed some light on what he was likely paid as Editor of the Review.
Okay. I stand corrected.
Please note that I stuck in an (IIR) because I wasn't sure and don't have the bandwidth where I am now to go back and look at the original email.
Oh, don't get me wrong--I didn't mean to seem as if I was busting your chops. It's just that the Mopologists would love it if they could seize upon something in order to claim that we were deliberately distorting the facts.

Who cares really? Leave the poor man alone. Really??
And if anyone will recall I explained ad nauseum on another thread long ago on this board how at least FARMS could show a payment to the chair but the chair might not get it. It may go to BYU and DCP may have just continued to get his normal salary. I suspect this is similar. He argues his pay did not go up or down with respect to his time put into FARMS. I guess the only real smoking gun is his email where his usual payment.
But so what? I guess this board is just boring and desperate from topics. Scratch aren't you tired of badgering this man?

I think what DCP is trying to say is that BYU gave him a base salary. Then MI gave him honoraria for his work in editing and fund raising.
I don't mean for the following to be snarky. But he has lost some income in an amount we can't know. But the new MI is set up for tax deductable donations and it appears that he will be paid at more than minimum wage to edit. And he has his fan base that will contribute
"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.

Isn't it amusing that a mere recitation of facts about DCP comes across as snarky even when not intended to be?
