That's right. If you can read, you are knowledgeable about every field of human endeavor that can be expressed through written words.

I can read words. Medical textbooks are written in words. Therefore, I understand the workings of the human body just as well as anyone who has been to medical school.

Anyway, don't you think you should explain your knowledge of applicable Florida law and what has happened in the trial before spouting off about the George Zimmerman trial?

Or do you maybe want to consider that your idea that only people who have lived in black neighborhoods can suggest black people have equal rights is ludicrous?

Look. I like you. I think you're generally good thinker, but on this one you're wrong, and you're wrong to keep going to the legalese well.

Argue merits on their merits, not because something falls within in area of expertise. It's exhausting when you fall back on your profession to make a point. I don't see anyone doing this on this form to make a point, except you. Do I think it's cool that you're a lawyer (pending whatever, and best of luck to you by the way).

But let's argue a point on the point itself... If you can detach yourself from the legal process. Which, again, I understand exists because we made it exist to argue these points.

Hi. You seem to not understand what this thread is about. The OP is a copy and paste editorial asserting that the media in America favor black crime victims allegedly harmed by white perpetrators over the reverse. You inexplicably asserted that because I dispute the claims of the OP, I am defending Trayvon Martin, which I supposedly am not qualified to do unless I have lived in a black neighborhood.

Not only am I not defending Trayvon Martin, your insistence that you can only support equality under the law if you have lived among the ethnic group in question doesn't even make enough sense to be a non sequitur. Equal protection is a value judgment. What you are suggesting would mean that you're a racist if you are opposed to treating all races the same, and a hypocrite if you are in favor of treating all races the same unless you have lived in an area with a large population of said race.

Therefore, unless you have lived around a lot of Ute or Navajo Indians, I hereby declare that either you are prejudiced against Native Americans, or you have no business saying they should be treated the same as white people or any other people. Which again has nothing to do with the OP, which is about the alleged slant of the media in the U.S.
