Given the well documented profligacy of the lies told by Trump and his sycophantic cronies and enablers, and Dr. Fouci's stellar and enviable record as a scientist and epidemiologist, there is far greater justification for trusting his word than that of his Trumpist opponents.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Fauci has been very fair minded and intelligent. He has been very diplomatic in his responses to really bad ideas and thinking regarding covid 19. What got him into trouble was those responses correcting the misinformation Being spewed by Trump. Trump gets pissed by this as well as the fact Fauci was more popular than Trump. Trump HATES both of this from anyone and they must be attacked and destroyed to protect Trump's ego. Ever since Trump lap dogs have been trying to destroy Fauci.
