The Jacksonville Jaguars could end up beating the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. They did beat the Steelers during the regular season.

You called it.

Jacksonville started out with 3 or 4 play action passes in a row, which was a great strategy to get Pittsburgh not to take Jacksonville's passing game for granted, which took a lot of pressure off their running game. Bortles first pass looked like a dying quail, and I thought he was going to have a bad game, but he settled down. Switching sides after the first quarter, Roethlisberger also had trouble with the wind, so it wasn't all Bortles.

A lot of Steelers were looking past Jacksonville to New England, which made for great Jacksonville locker room fodder before the game. If you had said Roethlisberger would throw for 469 yards and 5 touchdowns, Pittsburgh would score 42 and lose, most people would have thought you were crazy.

I hate Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, primarily because I hate to seem them win year after year. New England has been to the AFC Championship game 7 times in a row.

To beat New England, it seems like you have to have a game plan that will get you at least 3 scores up in the first half, because no matter what you do Belichick and Brady will find a way to counter it in the second half.

Jacksonville played a great game today, but you could feel it slipping inexorably away. Brady and Belichick: I hate 'em, but they are both the GOAT at QB and Coach.

Fun fact before watching the Eagles/Vikings: Units of the Philadelphia police are going around the city greasing the light poles so that drunk celebrants won't climb the light poles, fall off and break their backs. They are called the Crisco Cops.

In 1989 I was riding a bicycle while wearing toe clips and got caught in some trolley tracks, and ended up in the hospital with a torn ACL. My roommate was a guy who fell off a light pole and broke his back after the 49'ers won the Super Bowl.

How can you know when it hasn't happened yet?

Well, to start with, one has to accept the criteria being used to make the evaluation. If one is basing the question on how close it will be or how competitive one can't know.

But I'm not basing it on that criteria. I'm basing it on this criteria already stated in this thread:

So, immediately out of the gate NE...(is) out. I hate them...

...

I couldn't care less about the NFC teams that are in, but ...(I) don't want to listen to Philadelphia fans for a full off season. Philadelphia fans suck about as much as Bronco and Cowboys fans when it comes to listening to them talk about football.

Worst possible Superbowl of the alternatives available going into the playoffs.

The stories of poor sportsmanship of Eagles' fans are legion. My favorite is when they booed Santa Claus and threw snowballs at him.

Santa went over to the stands, shook his finger at a fan and said "You're not getting anything for Christmas!"

Tough town, Philadelphia.

The only problem is that picture isn't a picture from the playoff game. It isn't even the right teams. That's not Jacksonville, it's New Orleans.
