Exactly the other way around. In real life, it's 99.9% me shutting up and listing to my conservative friends and to some extent family speak their mind and send me their ridiculous right-wing emails of which there is no left-wing corollary. The "right-wing friend" I speak of is the only in real life person I've ever somewhat spoken my mind to, and that's only after repeated attempts asking him not to send his emails anymore or bring politics up in the mornings. So-- kinda nice to have this forum where I can say something for once.

I think that's what upsets you the most about me and cultellus is you haven't been able to persuade me into believing you're this smart all knowing brilliant person, I don't see you like that. Personally, I feel sorry for you.
Well of course you don't see it like that because I'm attacking and criticizing what is most sacred to you. If my goal were to simply convince you and Cult that I'm brilliant, it would be child's play. I'd register a conservative sockpuppet and game over. But, that wouldn't work the other way. Neither you nor Cult could register a liberal sock puppet and impress me, because neither of you know enough. I'm not saying that you're not smart enough, clearly you've both done well for yourselves in your careers, but you are perfect examples of everything you loathe: products of empty political rhetoric.
Let me tell you a long-winded story. My first experience on a message board was as an on-the-fence Mormon. It was a long time ago. One of our participants here was also there, and may self-identify if interested, and knows what I'm talking about. There was this poster who was exceptionally abusive in language toward other participants. Like, two-year-old level, but brilliant and extremely knowledgeable. This poster was an enraged atheist who lured me to the board with a post making fun of baptism for the dead that had come up in Google search. I was appalled by the post and although on the fence, it was not this person's right to criticize my church like that. I also could not stand atheism -- agnostic okay, maybe. I specifically rejected evolution as total nonsense. And so I went to war with the atheists of that forum and I got my ass handed to me. There were certain topics I could keep up on due to my background, but that didn't give me the advantage to make my case on what really mattered to the discussions. It took a while, but while never fully coming into agreeability with this original foe and will never agree with the overall worldview, I realized I had a great opportunity to learn a whole hell of a lot I would have missed out on, and I have to admit, that had I not been offended, I wouldn't have sought that knowledge independently.
Forget about me, there are many on this forum far smarter than I am. You would to well to know when to shut up and learn from somebody who knows more than you do. MeDotOrg, Res, honor, Analytics, the late EA come to mind as especially patient individuals who play especially nice, if that's what you need, and who have extensive knowledge of politics, world history, and law; the usual fare for this board. Instead, you two abruptly react and spout off talking points and try and play word games; start posting threads with dumb youtube videos.
Tone and Cam is an excuse and no more, you're here to get your anger out at progressives,
and worse, far worse you're unwilling to learn anything.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.
