Notice that one's views in regards to Book of Mormon historicity are not part of the worthiness requirements to enter the temple.

Yeah, no kidding MG. That’s the trouble.

You can reject the Book of Mormon as an ancient record, reject Joseph Smith’s claim to have translated it, but give them your money and it’s all good.

It’s baffling to me why you can’t see the money making scheme at work here.

Edited to add: How is what you’ve described not approaching the priestcraft condemned in the Book of Mormon?

He’s been at this for over 25 years. He doesn’t care because he’s a tribalist, no matter what his tribe looks like just as long as it has that SLC HQ branding.
Hiring a part-time news entertainment anchor as SecDef, what could go wrong?

It does appear different on the inside than on the outside. The money is a means to an end…and it’s not a nefarious end/goal. I don’t expect you to see that.

MG, what exactly is this end you’re talking about? Building up Zion?

As I understand it, Zion is described as a people of one heart and one mind, dwelling in righteousness, with no poor among them.

So how does the accumulation of institutional wealth accomplish that? At what point does building up Zion become indistinguishable from building up the institution?

Can you see the difference? How do you define priestcraft?

The operations and mission of the church as it fulfills its purpose in our day and time in history.

It doesn't come cheap!

So the Restoration is whatever the Church currently happens to be?

Don’t kid me, you know that makes no sense, right?

It does make sense. It is what it is. So that’s the restoration. A few times recently I’ve been wanting to say this to you but haven’t. And don’t take it as a criticism. It’s an observation for all concerned.

This isn’t rocket science.
