The sheep in this scenario = the minorities in a purely democratic society.

Interesting point. I've been listening to a constitution expert, who says what happened today has NOT happened in this country for centuries. He says correctly charging someone with insurrection depends upon not only intent to incite violence, but also the likelihood that such violence would occur. He says he would be hard pressed to define what happened today as anything other than insurrection, which he said, if I heard him correctly, has not happened in this country in more than a Century.

It's hard to define jack-asses on both sides, when the jack-ass of insurrection has clearly been a singular event in our recent history.
